22nd February Quote of the Week

You take on the responsibility for making your dream a reality.

This quote comes from author and motivational speaker Les Brown.

When there is something that we really want in our life, it is up to us to make it happen.

We need to turn our dreams into goals and our goals into reality by working diligently and with perseverance towards them.

This whole process starts with taking responsibility. Understanding that we are responsible for how our lives turn out and that it is up to us to take the actions necessary to succeed.

15th February Quote of the Week

You must look into other people as well as at them.

This quote comes from Lord Chesterfield, the respected 18th century politician.

It highlights the importance of trying to understand people and have empathy with them rather than simply judging them at face value.

When we take the trouble to understand others we build far more positive and effective relationships in both our personal and professional lives.

8th February Quote of the Week

A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.

There is some doubt about the origin of this quote, although it is often attributed as being a Danish proverb.

The issue that it highlights is that great plans alone are not enough, it is also vital that we start to put these plans into practice.

While it is important that we do not rush into action based on poorly thought out ideas, it is also important that we recognise that over-planning can be a source of procrastination.

A point comes when we have to ‘go with what we’ve got’, start taking action and learn and adapt along the way.

1st February Quote of the Week

You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

This quote comes from the great author George Bernard Shaw.

We can use our imagination to dream big dreams and then we can turn some of these dreams into goals.

When we think big and set inspiring goals, we bring an energy and purpose to our lives which leads to achievement and fulfilment.
